FREE Hanukkah Sentence Challenges

Sentence challenges are such a great way to practice writing mechanics, especially during the holidays.

Holidays, like Hanukkah, also provide opportunities to expand spelling skills with new words related to the culture.

These FREE Hanukkah Sentence Challenges are sure to be a hit with children in Montessori elementary classrooms.

There's just something about finding mistakes that makes writing mechanics so much fun!

How do you use the sentence challenges?

There are multiple ways, depending on the needs of your students.

When I present them to my students, I give them the sentence with mistakes in it and ask them to write the sentence correctly using the blank strip provided. (Sometimes we use our notebooks as well.)

If I had a student who needed extra support, I may have them circle mistakes and then compare with the correct sentence provided.

No matter how you use them, students will love them. I've never had a student who hasn't enjoyed sentence challenges.
