Sensory bins are a fabulous addition to any classroom whether at home or school. This is especially the case when working with children who have sensory needs.
In our classroom they provide great opportunities for sensory input and brain breaks.
I also love to add a practical life component to the bins. This encourages a beginning and an end to the work, which I find is important.
These practical life sensory bins also encourage "fun" practice when typical practical life activities may look too difficult or overwhelming.
Sensory bins are extra special when they have a holiday theme.
Halloween is one of my children's favorite holidays. They beg for new Halloween themed sensory activities every year. For this reason I've put together a list of my favorite Halloween sensory bins and invitations to play.
The following links are to my favorite Halloween sensory bins and invitations to play finds across the web. I just love how each one is so different and has such a specific theme.
I hope you enjoy all of this inspiration as much as I do!
