Jurassic Park Party

My teens found out some of their friends had never seen Jurassic Park before and decided they needed to throw a Jurassic Park Party.

They went all out on this one with decor, themed food, and great entertainment.

What I loved most about this party was that it was planned and carried out by teens, with minimal help from Mom and Dad.

Friends seemed to enjoy themselves and now everyone who was here has watched Jurassic Park.

My teens decided they really wanted to create the mood for a Jurassic Park viewing.

Dinomite has always loved dinosaurs and pulled out his entire Schleich collection for the affair.

He has collected these dinosaur figures since he was a toddler.

There were so many spread throughout the living room.

The kids collected all of the plants from the house and put them on display in the living room as well.

I love how simple the decor was, and how fun it was at the same time. Friends had fun trying to identify dinosaurs all around the room.

Princess wanted to put her artistic skills to use making a sign to mimic the entry to Jurassic Park.

I must admit I was quite impressed with what she did with some construction paper, paint, and tape.

As people entered our home and living room the Jurassic Park theme played to enhance all the decor.

Friends seemed to really enjoy it.

The Buffet choices included:

  • Meat/Flesh (Pulled Pork)
  • Dino Snot (Cheese Sauce)
  • "When You Gotta Go, You Gotta Go" (Baked Beans)
  • "I Threw Up" (Coleslaw)
  • Blood (Ketchup)
  • Dilophosaurus Venum(BBQ Sauce)

I was quite impressed with how creative they were coming up with food and names.

They found the FREE Jurassic Park themed place cards at Inspiring Magical Memories.

Jurassic Park Party Entertainment

Jurassic Park Party Entertainment

When friends arrived, we had Jurassic Park t-shirts waiting for them to add to our theme and entertainment.

Believe it or not, we found them at our local dollar store!

The party started with dinner and a viewing of the first Jurassic Park movie.

Once the movie was done, everyone went outside and enjoyed a bonfire.

Jurassic Park Party Bonfire

Everyone enjoyed playing Ghosts in the Graveyard with a few added scares for fun.

There's nothing like feeling hunted in the dark of night.

Overall I'd say our Jurassic Park Party was a success!
