Homeschooling Resources & Inspiration (Learn & Play Link Up)

This post contains affiliate links.

Lately, I've received several messages inquiring about different aspects of our homeschooling journey.  As I have attempted to respond to these messages, I realized they could be addressed in far more detail if I dedicated a post to them.  In some instances, I knew I already had a post I could share with answers.  But, as I looked for the specific posts, I realized I have never put all of my homeschooling resources and inspiration in one place for easy access.  Today, I've done just that.  I hope you enjoy!

  1. Hi,

I would like to start by saying that I love your blog and the ideas and materials you prepare. I do have a question and maybe you or your readers can help me with an answer.
We have 3 kids, 11, 6 and 1 year old. we started homeschooling about a year ago. After about 4-6 months I discovered Montessori. We are trying to implement the activities to our homeschooling curriculum especially for the 6 year old. The question is how can I implement the uninterrupted learning period when I have a 1 year old that is a big distraction for my other kids?Thank you very much.

    1. Thank you so much for your sweet words! In regards to your question, in our home we planned learning time around nap time when my younger kiddos took naps. We may not be able to get in the full three hour uninterrupted block, but we did come pretty close. That may be a temporary solution for you. If it's possible, another idea would be to wait to have your uninterrupted learning period until your significant other is home. I do know though, at times that's just not possible. Lastly, the post about transitioning your toddler to into your homeschool environment, has a lot of helpful ideas if you have no other option, other than having your 1 year old join. Hope this helps!
